Users will be able to open the Playback speed menu by clicking an icon available in the bottom right corner of all Microsoft Teams meeting recordings (as shown below). Microsoft says that this new variable playback option will enable participants to manually change the playback speed "(0.5x - 2x)" while watching any Teams meeting recording saved to OneDrive & SharePoint. The variable playback feature is still under development, and it will start rolling out to the targeted release customers in early August.Īs of today, Microsoft Teams doesn’t provide a native option to control the playback speed of meeting recordings, and users need to download & open the video with a third-party media player to adjust the playback speed.
